Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a live workshop? The live workshop was held in August 2023. And now the recording is available for anyone to do, anytime!
What results can I expect? Everyone's body is different, but in general you can expect some immediate improvement in flexibility and range of motion. If you continue to revisit the techniques in the class, you will improve more and more!
Do I need any special equipment? If you have it, a tennis/lacrosse ball (or similar sized dense ball), a belt or scarf, and some lotion will come in handy! You may want a chair as well, and maybe a yoga bolster or thick folded blanket. But don't let a lack of equipment stop you from coming--I'll show modifications that don't require equipment.
I'm not flexible at all. Can I still take this class? Yes, this class is for anyone regardless of their level of flexibility! I will teach you how to listen to your body so you can improve no matter what your starting place is.
What is the difference between flexibility and mobility? Flexibility refers to the ability of a muscle to lengthen passively through a range of motion, whereas mobility refers to the ability of a joint to move actively through its full range of motion. They are related concepts with slightly different emphasis. They are both important for overall health!
